We have beautiful Fall color here at Trees, Shrubs and More. With last week’s rain, things are really starting to turn. It’s not too late to plant and we have some fantastic sales so you can enjoy fully the beauty of the season.

Inside the store, we have a large selection of fall bulbs for color next spring. We also carry pumpkins, mums, pansies and fall decor.

There are still UltraGold Delicious apples to pick in the orchard and other varieties pre-picked for you in the store.

It’s never too early to plan and we have a full staff of Designers and Installers with many years’ experience, so if you have a project in mind for 2015 we’d love to help.

Fall Open House This Weekend!

You are Invited to our Fall Open House!!

Saturday Sept 13th 8am-6pm and Sunday Sept 14th 10am-5pm.

We will be grilling hot dogs on the patio from 11:00-1:00 each day! Enjoy a cold beer while you walk around or explore the orchard!

Also, we will have wine tastings both days. Saturday is Moonstruck Meadery from 12pm-3pm and will be accompanied by a local Harpist. Sunday is Whiskey Creek Run from 1pm-3pm. For this weekend only, select any wine or wine accessories and receive 10% off (limit 6 bottles of wine per person, please).

We will have great sales on many items and you can enter to win one of 2 $100 prizes!

Open Labor Day!

Trees, Shrubs & More and TS&M Orchard are open on Labor Day, Monday September 1st, 2014.  We will be open from 8am to 3pm.  Please arrive by 2pm if you would like to pick your own apples.  Now pick’n Gala and Honey Gold.  Asian Pears, Honeycrisp and Ruby Red Jonathan are now available in the store.  Large mums and asters have arrived as well as our first shipment of Fall bulbs!  Enjoy your weekend!!

Apples Are Starting to Ripen!

Gala apples are ready in the orchard for picking! We also have a limited quantity of peaches and Lodi apples, which are great for applesauce!

Approximate dates for apples to be ready are:

Bartlett-type Pears, Asian Pears and Stanley Plums available mid-September.

Each variety of apple is available for fresh picking for about two weeks. Any fresh apple is great to eat and every variety has its own unique flavor and texture. Pick one right off the tree and taste what makes each apple distinct. Pick your own and you will clearly taste the difference!

When you plan your outing to our orchard, take advantage of our front-yard quality grassy areas. All apple trees are dwarf trees so no sticks or poles needed! Bring a picnic basket, bug spray and flat shoes.You may also want a suncreen or sunhat. This is an on-farm experience.

Stop in our garden gift shop for other culinary treats, gifts and more. We have crisp mix, soup mixes, jellies, jams salsas and seasonal beers. We carry local honey also. Our gift shop also offers Nebraska-made pies, wines and Vodka. And we will have handmade caramel apples in September! Make your selections to take with you or enjoy them while you pick fruit in the orchard!

Fall is also a great time to finish your last-minute hardscaping project. We carry many different types and sizes of decorative rock, flagstone, boulders, stepping stones and edging.

You can also plant many different trees, shrubs and perennials in the Fall. Stop in and view our selection and talk with one of our staff to plan your Fall garden!

Around Labor Day, we’ll be getting our bulbs and Mums in.
